Volunteer Opportunities
ASLA Equity Council
The ASLA is proud to involve a robust number of community stakeholders to help guide the decision making process. Members are comprised of a diverse cross section of stakeholders that represent ASLA’s unique student population.
School Advisory Committee (SAC)
The ASLA School Advisory Committee was created to assist the school administration with school-based decision making and to involve parents in their children’s education. The SAC is dedicated to the mission of the school and to helping the school reach its organizational goals. It serves to improve the quality of the school’s educational and community programs, and to increase parent/community involvement in the school.
School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)
The ASLA School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is responsible for the development, revision, implementation, and evaluation of the wellness policy. Members are comprised of both parents and school staff.
Community School Committee
The ASLA Community School Committee (CSC) helps connect the school with strategic community partners and opportunities to deliberately connect our students to the larger world. Members are comprised of staff, community members, business owners, and parents.
