PCA Baby Bonds (AP/OD)
Baby Bonds embody New Mexico's shared values of equity, economic mobility, and prosperity for all. By providing a “nest egg” or “seed fund” to children at birth, baby bonds ensure that every child has the financial foundation to pursue wealth building opportunities. This policy helps dismantle systemic inequities and fosters a future where all families can build generational wealth, contributing to a more inclusive and thriving community.
Baby Bonds are an increasingly popular government policy in which every child born into poverty receives a publicly funded trust account at birth, providing them with “start-up capital” to pursue fulfilling, productive, prosperous, and self-directed lives.
In partnership with Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors, MoneyByrd, and Prosperity Works, PCA sees the opportunity for financial security & intergenerational wealth for New Mexican children.
